The deal, in plain terms.
RateSleuth is an independent, notification-only service. We watch publicly available prices and email you; you do all your own booking on Disney’s site.

1. What RateSleuth is
RateSleuth is an informational, notification-only service. It monitors publicly available Walt Disney World resort rates, special offers, and Lightning Lane prices and sends you alerts by email — and, for Pro subscribers who opt in, by text message — when prices you’ve chosen to watch change. That is the entire service. RateSleuth is operated by Heisler Creative Services, LLC.
2. RateSleuth does not book anything
RateSleuth never makes reservations, never logs into your Disney account, and never acts on your behalf. It does not ask for or store your Disney credentials. All booking, rebooking, and payment happens by you, directly with Disney, in your own account. You are solely responsible for reviewing prices and completing any booking.
3. Best-effort, not a guarantee
RateSleuth is provided on a best-effort basis. The prices we report are drawn from publicly available sources and can lag, change, or sell out; discounts have limited inventory and can disappear before you book. We aim to catch every relevant price drop, but we do not and cannot guarantee that we will detect every change, that an alert will arrive within any particular time, or that a reported price will still be available. Every email alert shows when the price was verified — always confirm the current price on Disney’s site before making a decision.
4. No affiliation with Disney
RateSleuth is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. We do not represent Disney and are not authorized to act on its behalf.
Walt Disney World and related marks are trademarks of Disney Enterprises, Inc.; used for identification only.
5. Your account
RateSleuth is offered to residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old. By creating an account, you represent that you live in the United States and are 18 or older.
You’re responsible for keeping your RateSleuth account details accurate and for activity under your account. Use the service only for its intended purpose — watching prices for your own trips — and don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, or misuse it. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service.
6. Plans and payment
RateSleuth offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Paid features, prices, and any billing terms are described at sign-up and may change over time; changes won’t affect a term you’ve already paid for. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you keep your paid features until then.
30-day refund. If RateSleuth isn’t right for you, email us at hello@ratesleuth.app within 30 days of a Plus charge — including an automatic renewal — and we’ll refund that charge in full. Refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days, and your account returns to the free plan once the refund is issued. We may decline repeated refund requests on the same account.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Because RateSleuth is informational only and you make all booking decisions yourself, we are not responsible for booking decisions, missed or late alerts, prices that change or sell out, or amounts you did or did not save. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RateSleuth and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid RateSleuth in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US $50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some may not apply to you.
8. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by applicable U.S. federal law. If you have a concern, please email us at hello@ratesleuth.app first and give us 30 days to resolve it informally — most issues can be sorted out this way.
Any dispute we can’t resolve informally will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Denver, Colorado; you and RateSleuth consent to personal jurisdiction there, and each of us waives any right to a jury trial. The consumer-protection laws of your home state may give you additional rights.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RateSleuth and its operator, contractors, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. This section survives the closing of your account.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know.
